Catalina goats are considered an invasive species due to their ability to rapidly destroy native shrubs, trees, and vegetation.
The world record Catalina goat had horns that measured over 53 inches!
It can be very difficult to remove the smell from a Catalina mount. For this reason, European mounts are often advised.
The Livestock Conservancy has labeled the Catalina goat as a critically endangered heritage breed.
